Writing Prompt: Thank You Notes

Today, I was thinking about everyone who has inspired me or helped me through a difficult time. From teachers, to authors, to everyday people I’ve met throughout my life. I thought about everything I would say to them if/when I get the chance and it led me to today’s writing prompt.

I want you to write a thank you letter to someone who has inspired you. It can be a friend, teacher, parent, or anyone else who has made a significant impact on your life. Is there a specific moment where they inspired you or made a difference? Or is it their overall personality or outlook on life that gave you hope?

Spend 10 minutes to write your thank you note. You can send them to the person or keep them for yourself. This is simply an exercise to practice gratitude and thankfulness. Although, right now in this world, I’m sure they would love to hear how they’ve inspired you or changed your life.

As always, be well and happy writing!
